Project overview
Established in 1991, The Unicorn School is a specialist, independent day school for children aged 7-16 years who have Specific Learning Differences: dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
The school has big plans for growth over the coming years and recognises the importance of online and digital marketing in driving engagement and growth. The school reached out to XIST2 looking for all round support in a range of areas including the design and build of a new custom website. The key drivers for the project were to review and improve the brand and its positioning, increase user engagement through its digital channels and create a brand experience that reflected the school today whilst ensuring the website was ‘accessible’ to all.

The website
When designing the site, we paid particular attention to making the online experience supportive and accessible for dyslexic students and their parents, whilst at the same time harnessing technology to make the navigation and user experience the best we could achieve.
Branding, videography and photography
Whilst the website was a key deliverable there were other key components to the project. Content-creation for the website included a film and photoshoot. XIST2 also supported the school with social media strategy and brand evolution work. The focus was to modernise the brand to cater for today’s market and also support the school’s future plans for growth.
