Meet the XIST2 team

Piers founded XIST2 in 2005, bringing with him a strong background in Project Management and systems integration for large, complex organisations. Over the years, he has worked with well-known brands including easyJet, the BBC, Nestlé, and Domino’s Pizza, helping businesses successfully implement and integrate new technologies at scale.

At XIST2, Piers takes a supportive, hands-off leadership approach, empowering the team to take ownership of their roles while offering guidance, insight, and mentorship when needed. He is passionate about delivering high-quality work and placing customer satisfaction at the centre of everything the business does. Piers is also known for his guiding principles, including D.I.O.R — Do It Once, Right — which reflects his belief in doing things properly from the outset.

Outside of work, Piers enjoys discovering great restaurants and has a real appreciation for good food and wine. At weekends, he can often be found at the golf club enjoying a round with friends. He also loves travelling overseas and spending time with his grandchildren.

Catherine has been part of XIST2 since the very beginning, working as our Quality Control Manager and playing a crucial role in maintaining the high standards we’re known for. With an exceptional eye for detail, Catherine carefully reviews everything that leaves the studio, ensuring all work is thoroughly checked and meets the highest level of quality before reaching our clients.

Before joining XIST2, Catherine worked as a buyer for a world-famous department store in London, where precision, judgement, and attention to detail were essential. She brings that same meticulous approach to her role today, alongside an impressive command of language and an ability to spot even the smallest grammatical slip, including a misplaced apostrophe, instantly.

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and taking weekend breaks to European cities, as well as longer holidays further afield. She also has a love for great restaurants and a genuine appreciation for good food and wine.

Lorna joined XIST2 in 2022, initially as a Project Manager, and has since become a core part of the team, spanning project management, development, and technical delivery. Her organised approach and strong technical understanding have played a pivotal role in helping the business deliver complex projects efficiently — often in impressively short timeframes.

With a background in graphic design and web development, Lorna is able to bridge the gap between design and delivery, supporting clear communication with clients and the wider design team. She studied linguistics and translation at university and is a capable Japanese speaker.

Outside of work, Lorna likes to unwind by spending time with her cat, Max. She enjoys playing RPGs, drawing and animating, and making the most of sunny days in the garden.

Charlotte is one of our longest serving members at XIST2. She came to us in 2016 from France where she had worked in agencies with a focus on interactive design in web and apps. Charlotte now heads up the design team and is an integral member of our team. While Charlotte has a quiet nature, she has an incredible knack for hitting the mark with her design skills. She loves learning about your users needs and goals and translates these requirements into designs that help your business to convert those users into clients.

In her spare time Charlotte enjoys going back to France to visit friends and family, Charlotte is also creative outside of work hours and spends her time enjoying crafting activities such as clay modelling, macramé and knitting!

Keir is one of XIST2’s longest-serving team members, having joined the business in 2018 after graduating with a degree in Illustration. From the outset, Keir’s ambition and holistic way of thinking stood out, giving him a naturally entrepreneurial mindset and a strong ability to see the bigger picture.

In 2022, Keir took this self-starting approach further by moving to Australia, where he spent two years building and running his own business. Following his return to the UK in 2024, XIST2 reconnected with Keir and welcomed him back into the team, bringing with him valuable experience and a fresh perspective.

Keir thrives on working closely with clients, taking the time to understand their businesses, challenges, and goals. He uses these insights to create thoughtful, goal-driven designs that not only look great but deliver real value and measurable outcomes.

Outside of work, Keir enjoys training at the gym, travelling, and supporting his football team, Newcastle United. He also has a strong passion for the automotive world and can often be found enjoying a Sunday morning drive.

Kamila joined XIST2 in 2025 as a Project Manager, bringing with her a strong technical foundation and a clear, no-nonsense approach to delivery. Originally from Ukraine, Kamila studied Software Engineering, giving her a deep understanding of technical processes and enabling her to communicate effectively between developers, designers, and clients.

Her straight-talking demeanour is something the whole team values at XIST2. Kamila has a natural ability to cut through complexity, remove ambiguity, and keep projects moving forward — an essential trait for successful project management. Her structured mindset and attention to detail help ensure projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and with clarity at every stage.

Outside of work, Kamila is highly health-focused and spends much of her free time training for Hyrox, pushing herself with intense gym sessions. She also enjoys balancing this with yoga, which helps her unwind and reset at the end of the day. When she’s not training, Kamila loves reading and exploring her creative side through photography, particularly when travelling and discovering new places.

Ben joined XIST2 in 2026 as part of our Business Development and Account Management team, bringing a strong people-focused approach and a proven track record in sales. He studied Sociology at university, using his understanding of human behaviour to build meaningful relationships and identify opportunities that align with client needs.

Before joining XIST2, Ben worked for a software business where he consistently exceeded KPI targets and developed a reputation for delivering results. Alongside this, he demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit by starting his own business, sourcing leads and growth opportunities for US-based companies. This combination of commercial insight and initiative makes Ben a valuable part of the team.

Outside of work, Ben channels his creativity into producing music. He’s also a keen supporter of Aston Villa and enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that’s hiking or taking part in a wide range of outdoor activities.

Rob is a vital part of the XIST2 team, bringing a strong technical background and a practical, performance-focused approach to development. Before joining XIST2, Rob worked in IT at the University of Oxford, where he built a solid foundation in systems, security, and technical problem-solving before moving into WordPress website development.

Rob has extensive experience across core web technologies including HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. He works closely with our design team to translate creative concepts into well-structured, interactive websites built using best practices. A strong advocate for clean builds, Rob believes in using as few plugins as possible to reduce bloat, improve performance, and ensure long-term stability and security across all our sites.

Rob works remotely for XIST2 from Thailand, where he enjoys travelling around South-East Asia. Outside of work, he has a passion for discovering great food and enjoys relaxing with a good glass of wine.

Raluca joined XIST2 in 2026 as a Business Development and Account Manager. Originally from Romania, she brings over five years of experience across B2B sales, marketing, and business development, with a strong track record in client acquisition and revenue growth.

Before joining XIST2, Raluca worked in tech and non-tech recruitment, specialising in headhunting talent for startups and high-growth companies. She has supported clients across industries including SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, AI, and digital marketing, and is passionate about building strong relationships and helping businesses scale.

Outside of work, Raluca enjoys spending time with her family. When she gets a chance, she also loves playing Volleyball on Monday evenings, meeting with friends for nibbles and a board game or two, and exploring towns and cities in the UK.
