Project overview
Experience Oxfordshire is the official destination management organisation for Oxfordshire, encouraging visitors to explore the county’s historic landmarks, natural landscapes, cultural attractions and places to eat.
XIST2 was commissioned to redesign and produce Experience Oxfordshire’s visitor guide, with the aim of significantly elevating the quality of the publication. The existing guide relied on outdated imagery and a layout that no longer reflected the richness of the destination. The new guide needed to feel premium, visually engaging and easy to navigate, while supporting both visitors and advertisers.




End result
The final visitor guide delivers a polished, premium publication that celebrates everything Oxfordshire has to offer. The refined layout and improved print quality significantly enhanced the overall user experience, while thoughtful content structure ensured the guide was intuitive and enjoyable to use.
The publication received excellent feedback from both the Experience Oxfordshire team and advertisers. For the first time, the guide was made available for sale rather than distributed solely as a free giveaway, and it remained in use for several years following launch. The illustrated cover continues to be used across Experience Oxfordshire’s marketing materials, reinforcing a strong and consistent visual identity.
