Project overview
Oxford Town Hall is one of the city’s most iconic and beautiful event venues, located in the very heart of historic Oxford. Offering 13 unique meeting rooms and event spaces, the venue can host events ranging from weddings and concerts to conferences and formal dinners, with capacity for up to 700 guests.
Oxford Town Hall appointed XIST2 as its strategic partner to reposition the brand and deliver a full brand evolution, alongside the design and build of a customer-focused website. The brief included fresh copy and imagery, SEO consultancy and redesigned printed marketing collateral, with a strong emphasis on accessibility and user experience.
The existing website did not reflect the venue’s status as a premium events destination. It lacked strong visual storytelling, commercial focus and branding that showcased the character and grandeur of the building.

End result
The evolved brand reflects the elegance and heritage of Oxford Town Hall, with a refined logo inspired by the venue’s iconic main hall and ornate domed ceiling. A contemporary gold-and-white colour palette was introduced to create a timeless identity that works seamlessly across both digital and print.

The new website acts as a digital shopfront for the venue, using rich imagery and video to showcase the breadth and beauty of its event spaces. Clear navigation, intuitive user journeys and strong calls to action ensure visitors can easily explore room options and event capabilities.
Accessibility was embedded throughout the build, including screen-reader compatibility, readable colour contrasts, alt text for imagery and full keyboard navigation. The result is a visually striking, fully accessible website that positions Oxford Town Hall as one of Oxford’s leading event venues and supports ongoing growth through SEO consultancy and digital marketing.
